ART WORKS
Traditional Techniques
Apart from work, I am passionate about many interesting things. For example making clothes and accessories out of wool, electroplating and photography.
This part of my portfolio is dedicated to painting. I prefer realism because the infinite variation of the world around me never ceases to amaze and delight me.

My Latest News

IAPS 2023
I am so honoured to announce that my work “French version of February” has been accepted for “2023 IAPS Spring Juried Exhibition – 42nd Open Division.”, the world’s most prestigious pastel show.
It is very difficult to find time to work, my life today is not about that. But such a joy to be able to hold it in my hands again.
I thank the jury and congratulate all the participants in the show.
“French version of February“
This landscape is made in dry pastel on Pastelmat paper (95 / 65cm).
Winter here in France is very different from winter back home. I miss the drifts of snow so much.
…My cat thinks she is a fox and dives into the snowdrift to find spring there. The chickens go out for a walk even in -20. They cheer each other up with clucks and squint in the blinding winter sun. Today they have pumpkin for lunch. In the snow, it looks like a second sun, which freezes instantly.
The clear sky and bright sun create a festive mood. The cat remembers to take care of the chickens and gives them an exercise session. She excitedly chases the flock around the enclosure, keeping the birds warm. They are not afraid of her and are happy to play.
Smoke billows from the chimney. The frosty air carries the news that I am baking cakes today. The smell in the frost is very strong and makes passers-by stare at the house.
Do you remember what a pleasure it is to plunge onto your back in a snowdrift and then lie there gazing up at the sky for a long time? Or swinging and bumping a child in the snow? Full sleeves of snow, red cheeks and laughter… Nah, snow behind the sinuses and the collar…
Bye.. Bye….
That’s what I think of when I paint the February sun in a French winter.

Watercolour
I prefer watercolours by Daniel Smith and Schmincke. It’s the kind of paint that allows me to admire the process of working. It’s pleasant to work with, but it has its own sound, its own character. It is vivid.
I like to watch how watercolour floats on the surface of paper, takes up space, merges with other colours or gives in to the pressure of the next stroke.
My favourite papers are Saunders Waterford and Arche, Grain Fin.

I work with dry pastels from world-renowned manufacturers:
Unison, Senellier, Schminke, Rembrandt, Mount Vision.
I prefer to work with crayons, I rarely use pastel pencils.
The paper I prefer is:
Pastelmat, Сanson Mi-Tens Touch.
